		<description>ADHD did &#039;exist&#039; back in the 1970s, indeed there was widespread concern about prescription rates of stimulants amongst children that had been going on for many years by that point. Admittedly this was in the US primarily, but it is a common misconception that ADHD is a recent invention, it really took off in the 60s when stimulant medication was popularized for the treatment of &#039;minimal brain dysfunction&#039; and other forerunners to the labels for the hyperactive or inattentive child.</description>
